Excellent!
A must read on a spiritual list for anybody who wants to learn how to get close to God and our savior Jesus Christ.
After reading this work I realized how many Christians merely go through life assuming that heaven is automatic. It is not and Christ requires full commitment to Him. Not for the fain hearted.
Although no doubt the info in this book is valid -- the book should not have been published. There are no page numbers in the table of contents (in fact, the pages are not numbered) and the heading for chapters/sections are at the bottom of the page previous to where the chapter starts. Feels more like a manuscript which was not proofread and re-formatted. Basically it is worthless as any kind of reference.
For over 4 dollars this is a disappointing buy. The editor has garbled together Wikipedia materials and added rather bad and unreadable translations. Unreadable not because of archaic language, but because of faulty grammar, interpunction, and altogether uninspired formulations. Moreover a TOC is missing. So if you look for a collection of writings of St Francis, look elsewhere, for there's better material around that is more worth of your investment. I'd advice 'Francis of Assisi, the Essential Writings', translated and annotated by Jon M. Sweeney. This version is excellent in form and content, with good and enjoyable translations of St Fransis' words, whcih is after all an essential requirement for anyone that wants to be informed about and inspired by the Saint's words.
